Centuria Bass Appoints David Stone as Managing Director – Origination
Australasian real estate funding solutions provider, Centuria Bass Credit (CBC or “Centuria Bass”), is pleased to announce the appointment of David Stone as Managing Director – Origination, effective 28 April 2025.
Based in Sydney, Mr Stone brings more than 20 years’ experience in real estate finance, spanning senior roles in the property divisions of CBA, St George, and ING, as well as executive positions with boutique private lenders. Most recently, he served as Head of Capital at Bathla, a real estate development and construction group.
Mr Stone has previously managed loan portfolios of up to $1 billion across multiple property sectors and is widely recognised for his extensive networks among family offices and high-net-worth investors.
In his new role at Centuria Bass, Mr Stone will be responsible for nationwide loan origination, reporting directly to Deputy CEO David Giffin.

Mr Stone holds both a Bachelor of Design and a Master of Property Development from the University of Technology, Sydney (UTS).
As of 31 December 2024, Centuria Bass manages $2.3 billion in Assets Under Management (AUM), representing a 21% increase in just six months.
