David Giffin, CEO

David Giffin is Centuria Bass Credit Chief Executive Officer and part of Centuria Capital Group’s Senior Executive Committee. With more than 20 years of experience in private lending markets, David leads a $2.6 billion real estate finance portfolio focused on mid-market, first lien loans, predominantly financing development projects, bridging finance, and completed residential stock.

In 2018, David co-founded and managed Taurus Motor Finance, raising more than $1 billion of capital over five years. Taurus was divested to a major shareholder in late 2023. Prior to founding Taurus, David held senior positions with numerous financial services organisations, including Grant Samuel (Capital Advisory) and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

David holds a Bachelor of Applied Finance from the University of Southern Queensland and a Master of Applied Finance from Macquarie University.
